Massive turnout strengthens national power
Incumbent President and a presidential candidate Hassan Rouhani was one of the officials who cast his votes for both elections early on Friday.

“Whoever wins presidency, should be helped to deliver this heavy burden of responsibility and whoever is picked whom we are responsible to help with unity, solidarity, and happiness,” said President Hassan Rouhani early on Friday after he cast his ballot. He underlined that huge turnout strengthens the national might and national security.

Mr. Rouhani made the remarks after he registered his vote for the 12th edition of Iran’s presidential election and the 5th edition of City and Village Council. He voted at the polling station of Hosseiniyeh Ershad.

“Today is a blessed day for the Iranians in which people in fact decides about the fate of their country and contribute to the destiny of their homeland,” asserted the incumbent president who is hopeful to win the election for the second term.

Mr. Rouhani highlighted that national establishment is one of the offspring of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He underlined that the long queues of people waiting to vote in different cities and villages of Iran proves the ruling of the people over the country.
