Iran remains best Asian football team
Iran remained on top of Asian football teams, with 626 points, in the latest FIFA rankings released for February.

With a lack of international fixtures to affect the rankings, there haven’t been much change compared to the previous ranking released in January, Press TV wrote.

Iran has dropped one place to 44th in the world but still leads the Asian teams, ahead of South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the UAE and Australia.

Belgium still leads second-placed Argentina and third-placed Spain.

World Cup champion Germany is No. 4, followed by Chile and Brazil in a top 10 dominated by European and South American teams, AP wrote.

The three teams which made the biggest moves since the last rankings all come from Asia: Palestine at No. 110 (up 21 spots), Saudi Arabia at No. 55 (up 20 spots), and North Korea at No. 95 (up 18 spots).

Canada moved up three spots to No. 85 out of the 204 nations in the ranking.
