The Russians visiting MAKS-2015 Aerospace Exhibition are visiting the Iranian booth in a quest for Iran's home-made drones and ballistic missiles which were not on display there.

To the Iranian companies' much surprise, the Russian visitors, specially the aerospace university students, of MAKS-2015 Exhibition know much about Iran's ballistic missiles, specially Shahab missiles, and are looking for these missiles.

Iranian companies present in the expo say the 2011 downing of the US RQ170 Drone by Iran has also attracted the attention of the Russians who are completely at odds with the US nowadays.

Iranian products are on display in two MAKS-2015 Exhibition halls; a 105 square meter pavilion at Hall D3 Hall and a booth in an area of 24 square meters in Hall F3 where the country's knowledge-based companies are showing their products and services along with the Europeans and the Chinese.

The Russians have asked for Tehran's technical help in the drone sector, head of an Iranian private sector company participating in the MAKS-2015 Air Show in Moscow said, adding that Iran has been invited to take part in the upcoming France Air Show.

"One of the noteworthy points of MAKS-2015 Air Show was Russia's request for purchase of engines of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Iran," Farhad Khalouzadeh, managing director of an Iranian company attending the MAKS-2015 Air Show in Moscow, said.

He noted that the manager of the Paris Air Show also invited the Iranian aviation firms to take part in the upcoming air show in the French capital.

Khalouzadeh underlined that despite the US efforts to isolate Iran, the world countries are seeking Iran's cooperation, and said, "In the same exhibition, the Russians showed their interest in Iran's presence and they even helped Iran to set up it pavilion MAKS because we insisted to be in the same exhibition hall that major foreign companies such as Boeing and Airbus are present."

On Thursday, Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sourena Sattari and Head of the Russian Space Agency Igor Kamarov in a meeting in Moscow discussed ways for broadening of mutual cooperation in the aerospace field.

During the meeting in the Russian capital, the two officials underlined the need for the further expansion of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in aerospace.

On Wednesday, Sattari and the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov in a meeting in Moscow finalized an agreement on the joint production of airplanes.

The two officials discussed expansion of all-out ties in various aviation fields at the meeting and made a number of agreements on the development of engineering centers and industrial parks in both countries.

Manturov will pay a visit to Iran in December simultaneous with the inauguration of Russia's specialized industrial exhibition in Tehran.

An Iranian delegation arrived in Moscow on Monday to discuss the delivery of Russian S-300 missile systems and take part in the International Aviation and Space Show (MAKS-2015).
